Active Duty Separations and Reserve Losses between 2003-2019 are estimated at 4.3 million

Among Gulf War-era veterans, those who were current or past members of the Reserve or National Guard had an unemployment rate of 4%  compared with those who had never been members 5.6%

In August 2016, about  1/3 of Gulf War-era veterans were current or past members of the Reserve or National Guard (August 1990 to present).

Labor force participation rates were higher for veterans who were current or past members of the
Reserve or National Guard 84%, compared with veterans who were never members 81%.
