Celebrate veterans this November in Branson

Branson, Missouri, is one of the most veteran-friendly, patriotic cities in America honoring our military every day. Veterans Homecoming Week, November 5-12, has many events planned:

Nov. 5-10 – Veterans Village – Ballparks of America, Buildings 2 & 3, 1000 Pat Nash Drive; Day room 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. daily, and Mess Hall lunch, free to Veterans, $10 for family/guests, daily 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

Branson

Nov. 5 – Veterans Celebration Show, Freedom Encounter Theater, 3220 Falls Parkway. This show is the kick-off of Veterans Week where we salute our veterans and say THANK YOU for your service to our country!

Nov. 5 – Vietnam Memorial Traveling Wall Opening Ceremony — Lodges at Timber Ridge, 1984 Historic Highway 165, Branson at 10 a.m.

Nov. 5 – Sunday Worship Service with Barbara Fairchild — Baldknobbers Theatre, 645 Highway 165, Branson, at 10 a.m.

Nov. 5 – Opening Ceremonies — Americana Theatre, 2905 West Highway 76, Branson. 5-6:30 p.m. No charge. Open to all military and their families. No reservations required. For info, contact Dee at 870-421-3511.

Nov. 6 – Veterans Show at Clay Cooper Theatre — Following the Hot Rods & High Heels show with tickets to the 10 a.m. show at $20 each. That ticket reserves your seat for lunch and the afternoon Veterans Show. Seating for lunch and the afternoon show is not guaranteed if advance ticket is not purchased. Reservations 417-879-6060.

Nov. 6 – Vietnam Veterans Reunion — AmericInn by Wyndham Branson, 275 Tanger Blvd., Branson, 4-6 p.m. Hot meal, entertainment, door prizes, and lots of time to talk. RSVP Dee at 870-421-3511

Nov. 7 — Sandbox Party — Mel’s Hard Luck Diner, 2800 West 76 Country Blvd., Branson. 8:30-10 a.m. – Mel’s Hard Luck Diner in Grand Village provides breakfast for those who’ve served in the Gulf War or after. NO charge. RSVP Dee 870-421-3511.

Nov. 7 – Homefront Hero’s (Spouses) Salute — AmericInn by Wyndham Branson, 275 Tanger Blvd., Branson, 1-3 p.m. – Join us for entertainment, door prizes, hot meal. RSVP by calling Dee at 870-421-3511 or online at http://www.veteransshow.com/.

Nov. 7 – Pizza Ranch Branson Fundraiser — 1464 State Highway 248, Branson, 4-8:30 p.m. All tips and 10% of sales will benefit the POW Network to pay for events and activities during Veterans Homecoming Week. Bring the family or a friend!

Nov. 8 – POW/MIA Service of Remembrance — The Lodges at Timber Ridge, 1984 Historic Highway 165, Branson. 8 a.m., outdoors at Vietnam Memorial Wall, weather permitting (will move inside if weather is extreme). No admittance charge, public welcome. Information 417-336-4232.

Nov. 8 – Women Veterans Rose Petal Ceremony — Stone Castle, 3050 Green Mountain Drive, Branson, noon-1:30 p.m. Women vets free, Adults $12, Children 4-12, $6. For more information 417-332-3557 or email Becky_jewsbury@wgresorts.com

Nov. 8 – WWII and Korean War Vets Mini Reunion —AmericInn by Wyndham Branson, 275 Tanger Blvd., Branson, 2-4 p.m. No charge. Coffee, dessert, door prizes. Kathy/Mac, 417-230 -1282.

Nov. 9 – 14th Annual Tribute to the Veterans Show — Mansion Theatre, 189 Expressway Lane, Branson,  8:30-11 a.m. Pre-show at 8:30 a.m. with the show starting at 9 a.m. The event co-hosted by the incredibly talented Barbara Fairchild and Roy Morris again this year! Lunch following at a NEW VENUE –BRANSON SPORTS CLUB, 418 Buchanan Road, Branson, 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. For more information call Dee at 870-421-3511 or visit http://www.veteransshow.com/.

Nov. 10 – 12th Annual Navy Memorial Service — Grand Pavilion at Westgate Resort, 2201 Roark Valley Road, Branson, 8:30 a.m. Public bell tolling ceremony to honor the lives and service of Navy shipmates. Nov. 10 – Medics, Nurses, and Combat Vets Mini Reunion — Grand Pavilion at the Westgate Resort, 2201 Roark Valley Road, Branson, 2-4 p.m. — A time of bonding and fellowship. For information contact Becky_jewsbury@wgresorts.com 417- 332-3557.

Nov. 10 – Veterans Day Sunrise Service — College of the Ozarks, 100 Opportunity Avenue, Point Lookout, Mo. – 7 a.m. at the Alumni Veterans Memorial. For information, visit www.cofo.edu.

Nov. 11 – Annual Veterans Day Parade — Downtown Branson – 11 a.m. Call 417‐294‐0030 for information.

Nov. 12 – 27th Annual Military Gala & Banquet — Chateau on the Lake, 415 North State Highway 265, Branson, 5-11 p.m. All branches, all wars welcome, public invited for dinner, USMC Birthday Cake Cutting, DJ/Dancing, Fireworks, Entertainment. Business attire, After 5, Uniforms, Mess Dress, formalwear. Reservations required, phone 417-336-4232. Tickets $69 each.
