Graduate school helps vets find purpose after the military

AmeriForce Exclusive

Post-9/11 veterans face many challenges while finding work, but the second ranking one — according to Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America — is that veterans lack the required education and/or certifications needed to be successful. That shouldn’t stop military service members from pursuing their civilian career dreams in the public sector, though.

Army Reserve Maj. Gabriel Cruz currently serves as an Army Congressional Fellow for the Army’s Chief Legislative Liaison in Washington, DC. He graduated in May with a degree in legislative affairs. Listen as he joins Navy veteran, Corina DuBois, in sharing how George Washington University’s Graduate School of Political Management is helping them reach their goals.

This video was created in partnership of our sister publication, Military Families Magazine, and George Washington University’s Graduate School of Political Management.
