Brunella Costagliola is a proud Air Force wife and mother to two incredibly resilient military children. She is the author of the Military Writers Society of America Award-winning book, My Dad Got Hurt. What Can I Do? a children's picture book aimed at helping military children cope with a brain-injured parent. The book, sponsored by the National Academy of Neuropsychology Foundation, and illustrated by longtime Disney cartoonist Valerio Mazzoli, is distributed for free to Wounded Warrior Families. She is also a best-selling editor, amateur photographer, and self-proclaimed ambassador of traditional Italian food.
